The official statistic indicates in retail a 1% decrease of retail sales during the first 6 months of the year, which led to an increase of business software tools to increase retailers’ operational efficiency. In this context, Wizrom Software, the company with the largest number of ERP clients in Romania, posted an 80% increase of revenues from implementation in the retail and distribution vertical, during the first semester.

“We recorded an 80% growth on the retail and distribution segment, compared to the same period last year, due to players’ decision to optimize their operational costs. We have recorded a growing demand from both new clients as well as from existing clients – for new modules”, said Adrian Bodomoiu, GM Wizrom Software.

As the general economic environment has been marked by uncertainty, the first half year required all companies increased efforts to keep up the performance and achieve targets. The first positive signals came during June, when the market returned to better mood.

“Although at general level, most of the companies had difficulties during H1, the market indicates that for the second half of the year there is potential for growth. This June is already better compared to June 2012”, Adrian Bodomoiu explained.

For the entire year, Wizrom estimates a positive evolution mainly due to increased interest from business environment to optimize operational costs with the help of the software tools. Also, large companies have relocated the production in Romania will implement such software solutions, compliant with the mother-companies’ standards. In addition, the companies start lining-up the European legal frame which provision the traceability of the production process, from raw material to final product, and this is easy to do with a Supply Chain Management solution.
